Mac vs. PC
Usually I don’t really like these kind of comparisons, as they tend to generalize a little too much behaviors and habits, but this profile on Mac and PC users actually shows things I have noticed all along these years (in a fun way):

iPhone 5 ultimate rumor guide
Super cool infographic summing up all the rumors around iPhone 5 by nowhereelse.fr

The Evolution of Mobile
Nice video done by the guys at Vodafone UK as tribute to the evolution of mobile phones!

State of the Mobile Web
We all knew that Apple devices are by far the most used to surf the web while on the move, but this graph shows an absolute dominance of iOS over all other platforms, despite Android selling more devices than Apple.
Nokia still holds its grip in developing countries, but I fear it’s just a matter of time for them to be wiped out by Android also on those lands.

Simple yet great innovations: Vodafone Webbox
I find myself working daily on extremely complex projects for new generation smartphones and tablets, but we all know very well that the vast majority of world’s population will not benefit from them (at least not now).
It is really great to see that other colleagues are working to narrow this gap and provide internet access also to those living in emerging areas of the planet.

Vodafone Webbox is actually just a keyboard with a coaxial video and audio connection, for old TVs. Just by plugging in one cable, people will be able to surf the web, send and receive email and enojy apps. Truly great!

Collaboration evolution in the enterprise
“In the long history of humankind (and animal kind, too) those who learned to collaborate and improvise most effectively have prevailed” C. Darwin
Very true indeed especially in the hectic times companies are living nowadays. This infographic shows how collaboration in the enterprise evolved, thanks also to new tools.
In my everyday life I find IM to be one of the most effective tools to speed things up and share information across people and teams. It may seem too simple to be true, but being able to quickly share a document or take a decision in real time drives efficiency and avoids distracting meetings or long phone calls.
What about you? What is the enterprise collaboration tool you value most?

Things to watch in 2011
JWT, the advertising agency behind the spectacular Heinekein campaign (of which I will talk soon), published this interesting review of things to watch this upcoming year.
Very interesting indeed the advertising captcha which ”forces” customers to rewrite commercial slogans to confirm submit forms and the concept of entrepreneurial journalism which, in some ways, is the true essence of journalism.

Is Motorola coming back?
Motorola is setting really high expectation on the upcoming CES 2011, when they will present their first tablet featuring Android OS Honeycomb.
Alongside Motorola, also RIM is about to launch their Playbook tablet which seems to be a very interesting device merging classic BlackBerry enterprise capabilities with a strong multimedia toolset.
In the meantime we can only treat ourselves with this promising video.
